![]() ![]() of Speculation was generally well received when it came out and ended up nominated for the Folio Prize, the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction and the International DUBLIN Literary Award. of Speculation Offill wrote several children’s books and worked on two anthologies, The Friend Who Got Away (2005) and Money Changes Everything (2007). Times First Book Award and was chosen as a Notable Book of the Year by The New York Times. Her debut book was Last Things (1999), which was a finalist for the L.A. of Speculation (2014) is Offill’s second novel. Jenny Offill was born in 1968 in Massachusetts and attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I sort of forgot about the book until I ran across it again on overdrive. ![]() I probably read a description of it somewhere around the time it came out and I did consider buying it a couple times, but simply didn’t get around to it. of Speculation ended up on my ‘want to read’ list. ![]()
